About the event
Students will be stationed at two different medical camps over a 4 day period, working with the center of Indonesian Medical students partnering with the International Federation of Medical Association. In addition, students will engage in medical lecture topics about tropical medicine and neurosurgery, from renowned professors at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, a world-class leading institution in Indonesia. Learn from the best and network with brilliant individuals that can be a great asset to your future including a government mentorship framework. Choosing Indonesia as our next medical trip will be an essential part of who we are as an organization.
We value the key pillars which are: Medicine - Art - Research - Volunteerism - Shadowing Hours- Cultural Immersion - Network - Academic Enhancement - Service.
Indonesia's rich culture will expose students across the globe to enhance new medical practices that doctors practice while enduring a new language barrier. Students will have the opportunity to do research with Global Care Heroes and be published on the site. They will investigate the core issues within the impoverished communities and find a Public Health solution that can be displayed in different universities, summits, conferences, and Scientific journals. In addition, students will always have an advantage working with us since we will always provide letters of recommendation to any institution for academic enhancement.
It's essential that the students understand the living environment and culture that Indonesia has to offer so that scholars can benefit from the ongoing crisis with scientific evidence-based research while providing medical services. This will allow us to bring students from the top universities to be educated in different medical specialties that Indian protocol follows including an arrangement of networking opportunities and potential government mentorship.
Indonesia's cultural background will introduce us to inhaling traditional foods and living conditions outside our comfort zone. We want our students and staff to be exposed to the reality of the villagers living in these slums and embrace a respective habitat. Providing these services will envision students' mindset to adapt to the culture and become knowledgeable in all aspects of becoming an inspiring medical doctor. With dignity, trust, and companionship, we can succeed beyond measures to create a global stance and movement for new successful beginnings.
